Report: Ryan O’Reilly’s court date pushed back to Oct. 22

Buffalo Sabres center Ryan O’Reilly’s impaired driving case in Ontario has been delayed for the third time, according to CFPL-AM.

The case was pushed back – “put over” is the Canadian legal term – this morning until Oct. 22, according to the radio station. The case was also moved on Aug. 20 and Sept. 10.

BUFFALO – The Sabres sent 11 players to the Rochester Americans today, including forward Luke Adam, who must clear waivers.

The Sabres also sent forwards William Carrier, Dan Catenacci, Colin Jacobs, Justin Kea, Jordan Samuels-Thomas, Kevin Sundher and Phil Varone and defensemen Brady Austin, Jerome Leduc and Chad Ruhwedel to the AHL.

Sabres don’t sign draft pick Logan Nelson

BUFFALO – Unless there’s a late announcement coming, the Sabres didn’t sign forward Logan Nelson before today’s deadline to ink 2012 non-collegiate draft choices.

The Sabres signed all the junior and European players from that class, including goalie Linus Ullmark and defenseman Brady Austin, two prospects picked after they selected Nelson in the fifth round, 133rd overall.

Sabres sign defense prospect Brady Austin to 3-year, entry-level deal

BUFFALO – The Sabres have signed defenseman Brady Austin to a three-year, entry-level contract, the club announced today.

The 20-year-old, the 193rd overall pick in 2012, split 2013-14 between the Ontario Hockey League’s Belleville Bulls and London Knights, setting career highs with nine goals, 24 assists, 33 points and a plus-51 rating in 67 games.
