TORONTO – It took more than 40 minutes, but captain Jack Eichel ignited the Buffalo Sabres again Tuesday, helping them roar back late in their 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Dave Andreychuk’s long wait is over. The high-scoring former Sabres winger, who scored 368 of his 640 goals with Buffalo, was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame today.

Andreychuk is a part of a star-studded 2017 class with Paul Kariya, Mark Recchi, Teemu Selanne, Clare Drake, Danielle Goyette and Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, a Buffalo native.
