BUFFALO – Sabres rookie Noah Ostlund was within earshot across the visiting dressing room in the Canadian Tire Centre, waiting to be interviewed after scoring again in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime win, so winger Alex Tuch joked he shouldn’t heap too much praise on his linemate.

Sabres continue front-office overhaul by firing associate GM Jason Karmanos

The Buffalo Sabres on Saturday continued overhauling their front office by firing associate general manager Jason Karmanos, who also served as the Rochester Americans’ GM.

Former Sabres GM Kevyn Adams, who was fired Monday and replaced by Jarmo Kekalainen, hired Karmanos, whom he knew from his playing days with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Karmanos, who joined the Sabres in 2021, attended Buffalo’s last game, Thursday’s 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers at KeyBank Center.... Read the full article

Sabres recall prospect from Rochester

BUFFALO – The Sabres this afternoon recalled winger Isak Rosen prior to their game against the New York Islanders at KeyBank Center

Rosen, one of the Sabres’ top forward prospects, scored twice for the Amerks in Friday’s 3-2 victory over the Belleville Senators, including the overtime winner.

BUFFALO – In his first days on the job, Sabres general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said he plans to “take charge” of contract negotiations with winger Alex Tuch’s representatives.

Tuch, one of former GM Kevyn Adams’ biggest trade acquisitions, expressed his desire earlier this season to sign an extension with the Sabres.

Center Noah Ostlund has returned to Buffalo Sabres following a one-game stint with the Rochester Americans.

The Sabres this afternoon recalled the prospect and assigned winger Trevor Kuntar, who made his NHL debut in Thursday’s 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks, back to the AHL club.

Williamsville native Trevor Kuntar set to join Sabres after signing NHL contract

It took just 24 games for Williamsville native Trevor Kuntar to turn his AHL contract with the Rochester Americans into a two-way deal with the Buffalo Sabres.

The Sabres on Wednesday rewarded Kuntar’s hot start, signing him to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 in the NHL.

Sabres veteran Jason Zucker sidelined with lower-body injury; Buffalo recalls prospect from Rochester

Winger Jason Zucker, the Buffalo Sabres’ oldest and most experienced player, will “miss some time” after suffering a lower-body injury in Monday’s 7-4 road loss to the Calgary Flames, coach Lindy Ruff told WGR this morning.

Zucker, 33, appeared to be injured when he hit an opponent into the boards in the second period. He briefly left the game but later returned.

Sabres send forward back to Rochester, recall defenseman

The Buffalo Sabres on Sunday sent center Noah Ostlund back to the Rochester Americans so they could create a roster spot and recall defenseman Zach Metsa from their AHL affiliate.

The Sabres returned Metsa, 27, to Rochester last week to make rook for center Josh Norris on the 23-man roster, leaving them with just six defensemen.
