BUFFALO – For the next two weeks or so, the lasting friendships Boston Bruins winger Casey Mittelstadt made over his six years here are on hold.

BUFFALO – Injured Sabres goalie Alex Lyon could be sidelined for the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, coach Lindy Ruff said prior to Thursday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

BUFFALO – The upper-body injury that has sidelined Sabres rookie Noah Ostlund the last two games “may take a little bit of time” to heal, coach Lindy Ruff said.
