BUFFALO – Sabres forwards Casey Mittelstadt and Zemgus Girgensons practiced this morning and will likely return for Tuesday’s road game against the Ottawa Senators.

Sabres lose Jacob Bryson to injury as Peyton Krebs returns to lineup

BUFFALO – Throughout what he called “a long 10 days” in COVID-19 quarantine, Peyton Krebs said he felt great. Still, the Sabres center couldn’t test out of the NHL’s protocol.

Buffalo Sabres center Tage Thompson, who left the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol on Friday, will play in tonight’s road game against the Detroit Red Wings, coach Don Granato said this morning.

BUFFALO – Since Sabres winger Victor Olofsson returned from a soft tissue injury Nov. 21, he has recorded zero goals in 17 games, a career-long drought. The Swede hasn’t scored since Oct. 31, when he registered his fifth goal in the season’s eighth contest.
