Sabres recall Brett Murray from Amerks, send prospect back to AHL

BUFFALO – The Sabres this morning recalled winger Brett Murray from the Rochester American and sent winger Isak Rosen back to the AHL club.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Murray has scored two goals and seven points in 12 games with the Amerks this season.

Murray, 25, has recorded two goals and six points in 21 career games with the Sabres. He made a career-high 19 appearances in 2021-22, the last time he played in the NHL.

Rosen, 20, recorded zero points and a minus-3 rating in his first seven outings with the Sabres. He played just 4 minutes, 12 seconds in Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens.

The Swede, one of the Sabres’ top prospects, has scored eight goals and 19 points in 16 games with the Amerks this season.

The Sabres host the Arizona Coyotes tonight at KeyBank Center.
