His college career ended Saturday when Ohio State University defeated the Spartans 4-3 in overtime of the NCAA regional final.
The 6-foot-2, 196-pound Strbak compiled three goals, 18 points, 10 penalty minutes and a plus-20 rating in 37 games for the Spartans this season.
Over three seasons, the Slovak compiled eight goals, 46 points, 43 penalty minutes and a plus-33 rating in 102 career college contests.
The Sabres drafted him 45th overall.
