Sabres injury update: Rasmus Dahlin could miss next two games

BUFFALO – Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, who’s day to day with a lower-body injury, will likely miss the next two games, coach Don Granato said.

Granato said Dahlin will miss tonight’s road game against the Boston Bruins and that he doesn’t expect him to play in Saturday afternoon’s home contest versus the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dahlin skated for the first time own his own Wednesday morning after missing the last two games.

“We will hold him out tomorrow and he’ll stay back, get more rehab and get another report tomorrow to see where that day to day is,” Granato said following Wednesday’s practice at KeyBank Center.

Granato said he doesn’t “want to rush him back with the type of issue he’s dealing with.”

“So I don’t expect him back Saturday,” he said.

Dahlin, 22, has enjoyed a dynamic season, compiling 14 goals, 62 points and a plus-23 rating while averaging 26 minutes, 1 second of ice time over 56 games.

In other news, defenseman Riley Stillman, who was acquired Monday in a trade, has joined the Sabres. He did not practice Wednesday as he waits for his immigration issues to be completed.
