Injured Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin still being evaluated

BUFFALO – Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin missed his second straight game with a back injury Saturday afternoon against the Utah Hockey Club.

Coach Lindy Ruff said Dahlin, the Sabres’ top defenseman, is still being evaluated.

The Swede left Tuesday’s 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche with back spasms.

Meanwhile, Ruff said winger Jordan Greenway (mid-body) and defenseman Mattias Samuelsson “are both real close” to returning from their respective injuries.

“Greenway probably closer than Samuelsson,” Ruff said in KeyBank Center.

Ruff also said center Tage Thompson is “nursing a little something.”

“But it’s one of those things you can play through,” he said.

The Sabres scratched struggling winger Jack Quinn for the second straight game.

  1. Get Ryan Johnson in there and sit Jokiharju. He sucks.
Jokiharju doesn’t hit anyone, doesn’t move anyone, doesn’t scare anyone.
    Adams blew $5 million.
    What a waste !!
