Sabres give up rights to three unsigned draft picks

Goalie Ryerson Leenders, a prospect the Buffalo Sabres selected in the seventh round in 2024, can re-enter the NHL Draft later this month, according to Puckpedia.com.

As an unsigned 2024 draftee who played in the Canadian Hockey League through age 20 and has no college commitment, Leenders, the 219th overall pick, became eligible for the 2026 draft on Monday, according to Puckpedia.com.

MONTREAL – The Buffalo Sabres this morning selected Finnish goalie Topias Leinonen in the second round, 41st overall, at the NHL Draft.

The 6-foot-5, 233-pound Leinonen is NHL Central Scouting’s top-ranked European goalie.
