BUFFALO – Sabres winger Zach Benson and goalie Devon Levi both missed Friday’s practice because of lower-body injuries and are considered day to day, according to the team.
Both rookies finished Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the Calgary Flames in KeyBank Center.
With Levi, 21, battling a minor injury, Eric Comrie or Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen could start tonight’s home game against the New York Islanders. Levi has played all four games this season.
If Benson, 18, can’t play, winger Victor Olofsson, a healthy scratch the last two games, could move back in. Olofsson practiced at right wing beside center Tyson Jost and JJ Peterka during Friday’s practice in LECOM Harborcenter.
Check back later for more on the Sabres’ new lines.
