Sabres re-sign Jack Quinn to two-year contract

ORCHARD PARK – The Buffalo Sabres on Friday re-signed winger Jack Quinn to a two-year, $6.75 million contract.

The contract’s $3.375 million average annual value is the ninth highest on the Sabres.

Quinn, who could’ve become a restricted free agent Tuesday, is coming off an inconsistent season in which he often struggled but set career highs by scoring 15 goals and 39 points in 74 games.

Following a 2023-24 season in which he recovered from a torn Achilles tendon and a leg injury Quinn, 23, struggled out of the gate last year, scoring just one goal, an empty-netter, in his first 24 outings.

Quinn, who sat out games as a healthy scratch, beat a goalie for the first time Dec. 15.

He enjoyed some hot stretches over the few months of the season, including a four-game run to close March in which he scored four goals and eight points.

The Sabres drafted Quinn eighth overall in 2020.

They now have five pending RFAs: defenseman Bowen Byram and Jacob Bernard Docker; forwards Tyson Kozak and Ryan McLeod; goalie Devon Levi.
