BOSTON – Oft-injured center Josh Norris will miss Game 3 of the Sabres’ first-round playoff series tonight with an undisclosed injury and is day to day, coach Lindy Ruff said this afternoon.
Norris crashed into the boards in Tuesday’s 4-2 home loss to the Bruins but stayed in the game.
Ruff said he doesn’t know when Norris, 26, suffered his injury.
“Don’t know exactly what it is,” he said in TD Garden. “Just not feeling right and unable to play.”
Norris scored 13 goals and 34 points this season in 44 games. He suffered an upper-body injury opening night and missed the next 24 contests.
Rookie center Noah Ostlund will replace Norris tonight between Zach Benson and Josh Doan.
Winger Alex Tuch took Norris’ spot on the top power-play unit during the pregame skate.
Check back later for more on tonight’s lineup.
