For the third straight season, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin has earned a spot in the NHL All-Star Game.
The NHL on Thursday named Dahlin, 23, to its Eastern Conference squad for the game Feb. 3 in Toronto.
Dahlin has enjoyed a terrific offensive season, recording 10 goals – tied for the NHL lead among defensemen with Vancouver Canucks star Quinn Hughes – and 29 points in 37 games entering Thursday’s road contest against the Montreal Canadiens. The Swede’s 25 minutes, 4 seconds of ice time per game led the Sabres and ranked eighth in the league entering the night.
The NHL on Thursday announced 16 players each for the Eastern and Western Conference teams. The final 12 players – eight skaters and four goalies – will be decided by a fan vote on NHL.com and X (formerly Twitter) through Jan. 11.
