Sabres to host Prospects Challenge rookie tournament Sept. 17 to 19

The Buffalo Sabres will be hosting the Prospects Challenge rookie tournament again from Sept. 17 to 19 at LECOM Harborcenter, the team announced today.

Last year, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Sabres to cancel the tournament.

The Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils will also be participating in the round-robin tournament. The Pittsburgh Penguins have dropped out.

Tickets for the games cost $10 and can be purchased at Sabres.com/Prospects.

Fans attending the games must adhere to the COVID-19 policies of government entities, according to the Sabres. Unvaccinated will be required to wear masks to all times. Masks will be optional for fully vaccinated fans.

Fans will likely be able to watch several of the Sabres’ top prospects, including forwards Jack Quinn and J-J Peterka, up close for the first time.

The complete tournament schedule:

Sept. 17

Buffalo vs. New Jersey, 7 p.m.

Sept. 18

Buffalo vs. Boston, 3 p.m.

Sept. 19

New Jersey vs. Boston, 1 p.m.
