Sabres release 2015 preseason schedule

BUFFALO – The seven-game 2015 preseason schedule the Sabres released this afternoon features three home games and, oddly enough, two road contests in Minnesota, including the Sept. 21 opener.

Assuming he turns pro, would the Sabres play Jack Eichel, the phenom they’ll draft second overall next week, against the Wild, or hold the center out until their Sept. 23 home game against the Ottawa Senators?

The complete schedule is below. The Sabres played six exhibition games last year.

Sept. 23                Buffalo vs. Ottawa          7 p.m.                   First Niagara Center

Sept. 25                Buffalo at Toronto           7:30 p.m.             Air Canada Centre

Sept. 26                Buffalo at Ottawa            7 p.m.                   Canadian Tire Centre

Sept. 29                Buffalo vs. Toronto         7 p.m.                   First Niagara Center

Oct. 1                    Buffalo at Minnesota     8 p.m.                   Excel Energy Center

Oct. 2                    Buffalo vs. Columbus     7 p.m.                   First Niagara Center
