Sabres’ defense corps getting woefully thin

BUFFALO – Remember just a few weeks ago when the Sabres’ defense corps went nine deep? Heck, they even waived Adam Pardy, an NHL veteran.

Well, the Sabres are down to five defensemen this afternoon at practice inside the First Niagara Center.

Mike Weber’s the newest name missing. Stay tuned for an update. It could merely be a maintenance day. He joins Christian Ehrhoff (muscle strain), Robyn Regehr (lower body) and Andrej Sekera (bruised foot) on the sidelines.

Pardy, who skated 18:25 beside Tyler Myers on Tuesday, is still with the team.

  1. It is excuses, I am so tired of hearing injury after injury year after year the list always goes on and on. It is time for some major changes I as a fan am getting tired of this the same old song and when they don’t make the playoffs it was because of injury it is enough time to start at the top and work down.
