Rolston mum on Sabres’ starting goalie

BUFFALO – So, Ron Rolston, fresh off his 29-save shutout in Saturday’s 1-0 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers, will backup goalie Jhonas Enroth start again today?

“I don’t know,” the Sabres’ interim coach replied this afternoon inside the First Niagara Center. “We’ll see.”

Rolston knows which netminder’s starting against the Tampa Bay Lightning, right? He’s just not telling.

“Exactly,” he said with a grin.

Enroth, who hurt his neck late Saturday, is fine, Rolston said. The 24-year-old Swede has a .951 save percentage in his last five starts.

In other news, the struggling Tyler Ennis will play left wing again today, his position before switching to center late last season. Ennis has zero points in his last seven games and no goals in the last 11 contests.

“He’s actually lately been doing some real great things, attacking the net and using his speed, at least the last couple games,” Rolston said. “But it’s just mostly for him getting his feet moving, because when he’s skating, he’s one of the toughest guys in the league to handle because he’s quick and he uses his edges and he darts in and out. He’s just every night got to concentrate on making things happen out there.”

Rolston said the Sabres haven’t picked top prospect Mikhail Grigorenko’s next team. The 18-year-old center, whose junior season just ended, could come back to Buffalo or go to Rochester.

Update: The Sabres will go with Saturday’s lineup again. Enroth will start. Luke Adam is out again.
