The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Boomhower, 20, compiled three goals, seven points and 82 penalty minutes in 26 games last season with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Buffalo’s ECHL affiliate.

In other news, the Hershey Bears have signed former Sabres winger Matt Moulson to a one-year AHL contract, the Washington Capitals’ affiliate announced today.

His five-year, $25 million deal with the Sabres expired July 1.

  1. This is news worthy? Lol. He’ll be a depth defenseman in Cincinnati.
